Shop, Recycle, Repeat

Our new project with Food City — Shop, Recycle, Repeat — is a game changer for the community. At select stores, Eastman and Food City, a leading regional grocery company, have placed specially marked recycling bins where shoppers can deposit almost any kind of plastic.

Good Sports Always Give Back

Eastman and the University of Tennessee have a more than 30-year history of partnering on recycling through Good Sports Always Give Back. This program has promoted recycling and recycling education since the 1990s.

The university and Eastman even collaborated on recycling world records the past two years. At a University of Tennessee football game in 2023, Eastman and UT partnered with fans to recycle almost 45,000 pounds of game day waste. That’s a world record for a college recycling event — breaking the record set in 2022 by UT and Eastman.

Tri Recycling for smart travel

We’ve forged a partnership with Tri-Cities Airport in Tennessee to make plastic recycling easy for those on the go. We’ve placed convenient Tri Recycling bins throughout the airport to collect plastic bottles and food containers. Travelers can get where they’re going — and feel good about reducing plastic waste.

Eastman’s molecular recycling

Eastman’s molecular recycling technologies process hard-to-recycle plastic waste that usually goes to landfill or incineration. Through these recycling innovations, Eastman takes in many kinds of hard-to-recycle plastic and processes them — so they perform just like new materials.

Through molecular recycling, Eastman reduces waste, preserves natural resources and gives plastic new life in new products. And molecular recycling can do this over and over again.
