Our support of EU REACH
As a Responsible Care® company, Eastman fully supports the objectives of regulation EC 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). The main objectives of REACH are to determine the hazards of chemicals and to carry out risk assessments to protect human health and the environment.
Eastman confirms our compliance with REACH. Where relevant and required, all substances manufactured in and imported into the European Union by Eastman have been duly registered and/or preregistered. For further information on REACH, contact your Eastman sales representative.
Polymers are exempt from registration under REACH. However, all monomers and additives are preregistered and registered where relevant such that our polymer products are REACH compliant.

EU REACH letter for customers
Eastman receives many requests from customers about the preregistration and registration status of Eastman products that they purchase. Often, these requests are accompanied by extensive forms and questionnaires. Rather than responding to the many requests, we prefer to provide a uniform update about REACH activities that addresses our customers’ need for information.
