SAO PAULO, Brazil
Incom is introducing a line of sustainable packaging made with Eastman Cristal™ Renew copolyester and Eastman Cristal One Renew at FCE Cosmetique 2021.
Incom, a Brazilian company specializing in the development and manufacturing of plastic cosmetics packaging, is featuring Eastman Renew materials in a variety of applications, including compact cases, skin care, color cosmetics, and lip-gloss packaging. They are using multiple sustainable resins from Eastman, offering brand owners options for high levels of certified recycled content,* easy recyclability or both.
"Cristal Renew and Cristal One Renew, made with Eastman's innovative molecular recycling technologies, enabled us to offer sustainable packaging with premium attributes such as high transparency, thick-walls and high gloss," said Andréia Johansen, Incom commercial manager. "Our previous work with Eastman demonstrated their quality, safety and technical competence. Knowing that Eastman is innovating toward sustainable materials in a responsible way gave us the confidence to work with them to develop these new additions to our standard packaging lines."
Cristal Renew provides high levels of certified recycled content* without sacrificing packaging performance or aesthetics. Cristal One Renew offers both recycled content and easy recyclability for the best of both worlds.
Eastman Renew materials are made via Eastman's molecular recycling technologies using waste plastic that, without this technology, would end up in landfills. These advanced recycling technologies are a complement to traditional recycling, expanding the types and amounts of plastics that can be recycled. This gives materials an extended useful life and diverts plastic waste from landfills or the environment.
"It's exciting to see the wide range of beautiful packaging Incom has created with these materials," said Alessandra Lancellotti, Eastman market development manager for cosmetics packaging, Americas. "We are thrilled to work with them to make these sustainable innovations available locally to brands in South America."
Visit Incom in São Paulo at FCE Cosmetique 2021, booth #L063, Nov. 29–Dec.4, to see these innovations up close.

*The recycled content is achieved by allocating the recycled waste plastic to Eastman Renew materials using a mass balance process certified by ISCC.
