Films - Safety and Security (With Pressure-Sensitive Mounting Adhesive)

<p>These products are heavy gauge (4-15 mil) PET-based control window films with an acrylic pressure sensitive mounting adhesive and a clear release liner intended for smooth glass surface applications. The PET substrates may be clear, chemically dyed, and/or have one or more of various metals deposited on their surfaces by means of vacuum metallizing or sputtering. The release liner is removed immediately prior to installation and the film is applied to smooth glass surfaces using with a surfactant based water solution.</p> <p><strong>Architectural Applications:</strong><br> In buildings, depending on the physical properties of the glass and the solar control properties of the film, these products are intended primarily to provide enhanced glass fragment retention and penetration resistance for purposes of personal safety and security in the event of accidental glass breakage, human body impacts, blast events, earthquakes, intrusion attempts, windstorm cyclical wind loads, small missile impacts, and water intrusion mitigation. Many application purposes require a perimeter attachment system. Versions of these products may additionally provide solar heat gain reduction, UV protection, graffiti damage protection, and enhanced daytime privacy and aesthetics.
