Solus 1100 performance additive, food contact

Eastman Solus™ 1100 performance additive, food contact is designed to deliver on the high performance expectations required of ink formulations. The robust properties of this distinctive material provide reduced surface tack, improved flow, and good UV stability. </br></br></br> This cellulose ester enables lower solution viscosities with the lowest glass transition temperature (Tg) in the cellulose acetate butyrate portfolio. The relatively low molecular weight (M(n)) of Solus™ 1100 food contact, (as compared to other cellulose esters) supports compatibility with other formulation components, including a wide range of cross-linking resins and curing resin systems. Solus™ 1100 food contact, is available in pellet form.</br></br></br> Eastman Solus™ 1100 food contact, is based on cellulose, one of Earth's most abundant natural renewable resources, with an approximate calculated bio-content value of 37%. </br></br></br> This product is manufactured, stored, handled and transported by Eastman under conditions adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices for food contact applications. They meet requirements for use in certain food contact applications under regulations of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (21 CFR), European Commission (Regulation 10/2011) and the Switzerland Ordinance of the FDHA on materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (817.023.21, Annex 10).
