Solus 5175 ES-75 performance additive

Eastman Solus™ 5175 ES-75 performance additive is designed to provide high-performance in wood coatings. This cellulose ester enables excellent surface hardness while achieving wide solubility and compatibility with many other resins. Further, this product is well-suited to building and construction coatings due to its superior flow and leveling properties, reduction in drying time, and UV light stability & non-yellowing. These features are enabled in part by the lower viscosity and medium butyryl content of Solus™ 5175 ES-75, designed for use where relatively high solids are required at a low application viscosity. When dissolved in appropriate solvents, a clear colorless solution is produced, and it will tolerate the use of solvent blends currently exempt from certain air pollution regulations. Solus™ 5175 ES-75 is supplied as a dry, free-flowing powder, offering formulation convenience, ease of handling and maximum formulating flexibility. </br></br></br> Eastman Solus™ 5175 ES-75 is based on cellulose, one of the most abundant natural renewable resources. Further, this product has at least 75% sustainable content, resulting from a combination of bio-content from natural cellulose plus recycled content (recycled content based on mass balance allocation) from plastic waste. Recycled content is certified by International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC), a global, independent agency tracking sustainable content in a variety of industries.
