Safer additives
In response to regulatory demands, Eastman developed Tetrashield with polyester, bisphenol A non-intent (BPA-NI) resin technology. This technology improves resistance to food sterilization and long-term shelf stability without BPA, an additive used in other coatings that is a chemical of concern.
Tetrashield materials are also not manufactured with styrene or isocyanates, making them less hazardous than other materials. What’s left is a safer, more durable coating.
