Due to its highly hydrophobic properties, BioSustane can be used as a carrier for amorphous solid dispersions without hot-melt extrusion or spray drying. It can be formulated using traditional wet granulation techniques, improving bioavailability by preventing recrystallization of poorly water-soluble active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
