Soil disinfection with Nemasol™ prior to sowing or planting tomatoes allows control of a vast catalog of soil-inhabiting plant pathogenic organisms and weeds such as:
- Soilborne fungi causing damping-off and root rots, like Pythium spp., Phytophthora, Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum and Botrytis cinerea
- Corky root caused by Pyrenochaeta lycopersici
- Vascular diseases caused by Fusarium oxysporum and Verticillium dahliae
- Root-knot nematodes, like Meloidogyne spp.
- Weeds and their seeds, particularly nightshade (Solanum nigrum), amaranth (Amaranthus retroflexus) and purslane (Portulaca oleracea), and perennial species like nutsedges.
