Stewardship

Stewardship relating to the use of metam-based products focuses on achieving optimal soil disinfection results while prioritizing soil health and workplace safety and minimizing impacts on communities and the environment. To accomplish this, growers should adopt safe storage and handling practices, verify local conditions, properly prepare the soil, and acquire knowledge and understanding of various application purposes and specific situations. They should also follow thorough after-care and monitoring procedures. It is imperative that the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) is used/worn for the appropriate activity throughout the soil treatment process.

Users should always keep the material safety data sheet nearby when dealing with metam-based products and follow the label instructions. Contact your Eastman representative or an authorized distributor with questions or for more information.
